_{ILLOGICAL.  i re - watched in darkness and i told myself i wouldn’t cry but guess who failed that goal? also a few things. first , spock and uhura are wonderful and i love their fights so much fuck. and second , the entire spock x kirk scene after he enters the radiation chamber is the most beautiful scene ever ??  honestly when jim started talking about being scared, and asked spock to help him not feel , i started balling. because ?? you know spock would have GLADLY mind - melded with him simply to take that feeling away. something even he fears , and tries to avoid. and it ruins him because he can’t , and so he settles for simple comforting words , the vulcan hand sign. honestly i find this particular usage to be so intimate. vulcan sensitivity in their hands is incredible, and to have him do that in a moment of death is beautiful and makes me think about his desire to mind - meld even more. the best comfort, imo.  this scene fucks me up pls no.}
